On Saturday and Sunday, March 1 and 2, Dory offered a two-day Art Escapes workshop at Hui Noʼeau Visual Arts Center, a nonprofit community-based visual arts education organization located on an upcountry estate on the beautiful island of Maui.

This workshop explored traditional and non-traditional methods of putting experiences on paper by enhancing participants' artistic eye, practicing the art of the quick sketch, and storytelling with image and text.

This year, Dory taught the following original techniques: One Minute Drawings, Line & Design Watercolors, Moving from Value Study to Watercolor Painting, and Pen & Ink Impressions with Watercolor Accents.

Hui Noʼeau Visual Arts Center
